So I really wanted to try this color for a really long time but I definitely DID NOT want the damage that comes along with bleaching my hair to this level. So I came up with a bleach free option to get this color. Check out this tutorial to get the look...

You know the type..I like to call them "undercover cowards" but they are the passive aggressive ones. The ones who can't just come out and say, "you know what, I don't like you" or "I have an issue with you". So they have a subtle behavior, a very childish demeanor of either pretending not to hear you, choosing to deliberately do the opposite of whatever task you give them (if you are in leadership or management), or gossiping about you. I'm gonna give you some tips on how to deal with this kind of person. Even if you are the kind of person that doesn't like confrontation, these tips will benefit you in the long run. 1. Demand Respect I'm not saying that you go all "West Side Story" style in that person's face, but you can't take a tail-between-the legs approach either. This person has to know that you recognize that behavior and you're not gonna put up with it. They don't have to like you but they have to respect you. 2. Talk it out This goes hand in hand with #1. Go to that person in private (so they won't feel the need to show out) and try to talk about what the problem is that they have with you. Sometimes a mediator is necessary. Get a neutral party to accompany you so they can hear both sides out and help diffuse the situation. 3. Kindness If you absolutely can't see yourself confronting that person and that is not an option for you, then kill em with kindness. Sometimes you can make a person feel very foolish for their childish behavior when you extend a merciful hand out to them. If you see that person is struggling in an area where you can help them, then offer to help them. You will find in most situations that their problem is not with you at all, but themselves. Some people have inner struggles that they don't know how to deal with so they project all of their hostility off on you. As much as you may want to do this.. DON'T! lol
Keep your cool, take a deep breath, and remember these 3 suggestions. How have you handled a situation where you had to deal with a difficult person? Wow! I mean really...wow.
It's been 2 whole years and I've been through hell and high water. So much has been going on that I could write a whole book on it. But I'll spare you all. I'm walking away from the past and embracing the future. With that being said..IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK! I missed talking to you guys. Sorry that I've abandoned you. I promise to be good this time lol. Looks like we got a lot of catching up to do... Ladies and gentlemen..fasten your seatbelts cus this is gonna be a wild ride haha Yep. You heard correctly. The Blue gets it done honey! I have struggled for years from what I thought was acne. I would get clusters of patchy scaly bumps all over my face. I got so tired of it that I figured it was time to see a dermatologist. What she told me was somewhat unexpected. She told me that I had Seborrheic Dermatitus, which is a skin fungus that usually affects the scalp, but in some cases can affect other parts of the body as well. My fisrt thought was "ugh..gross", then "What can we do?!". She simply told me to buy Selsun Blue and use it as a face wash twice a day. After thinking to myself, "This lady dun lost her mind", I did give it a try. BAM! over 70% of the clustery rash was disappearing..AND THIS WAS JUST THE SECOND DAY! I took to Google to do my own research to see if anyone else had stumbled upon this little miracle blue stuff. Surprisingly, I was late in my find because people were commenting on different forums how they had been using Selsun Blue for their acne and it has cleared it up in just about 2 days as well! The proof is in the pudding..and this pudding is the bomb! Forget ProActive Acne system, I'll stick with my Blue! [SIDE NOTE] If you decide to give this shampoo a try, please make sure that you buy a good moisturizer because your face will feel dry as the desert afterwards. I don't know what's going on with me lately, but I find that my sense of style keeps changing. Whenever I go to Pinterest, I find myself really intrigued by outfits that I would of given the "side-eye" to. Let me tell you what I'm crazy about now... There is just something about the rugged look of army wear that just peaks my interest. Anything camouflage or any pair of combat style boots mixed in with accessories to soften the look..oooh Let me show you what I mean: See what I mean! I absolutely love these items!
Veteran's Day is just around the corner. I will definitely be rocking one of these ensembles..oh yeah :-) So...I gotta ask..am I the only one or has your style changed too? If you haven't heard this term before, believe me YOU WILL. What am I talking about you might ask? Contour and highlighting. It's not just for celebrities and makeup artist anymore. Everyone is doing it! I often get asked, "how do you do your makeup? Do you 'HAC?". The first time I heard that term I had no clue what they were talking about. First thing that came to my mind was a nasty cough or illegally getting information :-P Every person has there own way of highlighting and contouring their face, and it works for them so who am I to play makeup police. But there are those who struggle with it a bit more. You just have to play around with different products to see what works for you. HIGHLIGHTING What highlighting does is it brings forth or makes stand out certain areas of your face. Examples of areas that may be highlighted are; cheekbones (or the apple of your cheeks), down the bridge of your nose, upper and lower brow area, the area between your upper lip and under the nose (optional). Most people use concealer, but I use a different product that works better on my skin. It's a souffle by Fashion Fair. It's perfect and it stays put all day. Oh yeah, don't forget that when highlighting make sure that you use a concealer (or whatever product) that is a shade or two lighter than your skin color. Here is an example of HACing: CONTOURING Is just the opposite of highlighting. It distracts or hides certain areas that you don't want to bring attention to. Areas of contour include; hollows of your cheeks (the area right below your cheekbone), to each side of your nose (cheapest nose job ever!), forehead or temples (or both), and chin. Let's just say that you are self-conscience because you have a double chin. What you would want to do is contour, or take away the appearance of that double chin. Take whatever product you want to use; such as a bronzer, powder, etc and apply it right at your chin area and all underneath. Follow the bone structure of your face (from ear to ear). Oh yeah, don't forget to make sure that your product for contouring is a shade or two darker than your complexion. I found that the best contouring product for me is Covergirl loose/finishing powder. I hope that this post helped to shine the light on HACing and make it seem less intimidating. Remember, try out different products until you find one that works for you. Don't ya just love a good bun!! This 'retro meets the millennium' style bun is perfect for any occasion. Dress it up or dress it down, no matter how you rock it, it's gonna turn heads baby! If you are interested in getting the look, I have a tutorial posted on my channel. Check it out and tell me whatcha think. STOP BULLYING NOW!!! You don't know how tired I am of hearing of people bullying other people. It's serious and it HAS TO STOP! I'm asking everyone who knows or has a child that is being bullied to please share this video. Even if you have elementary aged children & up. They need to know that they are special and they are loved! |
